LILOU AND LINEN
The garden in bloom, Jeffrey feeding the birds.
Still weaving the scarf for Lilou,
it contains quite a lot of linen, I hope I can get it soft enough,
anyone tips for making the linen feel softer?
Washing helps, but maybe there are some other methods...

Put it in the freezer then press with a hot iron while frozen. Its the strangest thing to do!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Dianne! I steamed mine with the iron, because of lack of time, but it worked also! Next time I will try your tip!
VerwijderenI soak mine in eucalyptus wool wash. If it's crunchy when it dries I wrap it up up in a towel and roll it back and forwards for a bit but I find soaking is the key.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks for your help Kim! The scarf was ready just in time, so I did not have time to wash/soak it, so I steamed it with the iron, and this helped also... The scarf was for this girl's First Communion, so this time I really had to respect the deadline... :-)
