In september Jeffrey Vanhille, Studio Woot Woot, Eric Guen and me

are invading the shop La fabrika in Brussels

during Design September.

Jeffrey and I have been collecting nice old pieces of furniture

that we are going to refurbish in our own way,

and I will try to weave some wallpieces and cushions.

Lots of work,

but very exciting!

I made her this bird. She knows why.

In memory of Sandra,

a part of my family,

a friend,

too young to die...

ENJOYING

Enjoying the weaving of a new summerscarf.

The weather hasn't been that great,

maybe better when this scarf is finished... :-)

There is enough warp on my loom for 2 scarves.
The first one is taken,
anyone interested in the second one,
let me know!

This nice couple asked me for a handwoven wallpiece

instead of a scarf.

This is the result.

It's quite a complex warp, 

(90 colours and many different materials)

but a simple technique of weaving.

I'm really happy with the result,

and so is the nice couple. 

And because of their question,

I found another way of using my handwoven fabrics.

THE BOYFRIEND

Meet Jeffrey,

WORKSHOP!

Yesterday was the weaving-workshop-day!
We made little pieces like Sheila Hicks does,
and 'we' were girls from 8 till 82 years old.
My first workshop,
and I hope the weavers enjoyed it as much as I did!

I made a black fabric, with lots of air,

for a photographer...

Still working on this wallpiece...

One of my looms broke down,

so had to put the warp on the other one.

This sunday I'm giving a workshop here in Bruges.

We're going to try to weave like one of my heroes,

Sheila Hicks.

Made these mini-looms for that day.

My first workshop, hope it all works out! :-)
