ORANGE AND BLUE

The first new summerscarf is almost ready.
The main colors are orange and blue, some white and yellow.
Maybe I should call my "summer"scarves "spring"scarves,
or just "cotton-and-linen"scarves.
This one will be scarf 51, and me and my loom aren't tired yet...

LUX - PART TWO

Textile pictures are always difficult!

The colours are more radient, the pink is more orange.

But... I like the little one!

You can wear it as decoration more than to keep warm.

Maybe I should weave more little ones...

For big girls :-)

A SCARF FOR A GIRL CALLED LUX!

A little scarf (12 cm x 160 cm) for the first communion

of a girl called Lux.

I really like her dress, with the cat printed on it.

Hope she likes her scarf,

pictures will follow as soon as she has seen it herself!

The towels are designed by Kitty van der Mijll Dekker,

she studied at the Bauhaus school for Art and Architecture in Dessau Germany,

and had a weaving atelier all her life.

+ I have woven a piece of fabric for a lady who makes bags,

SUMMERSCARF 49

My personal favourite!

Same warp as scarf 48,

but I used more cotton as weft.

The scarf has more body

and it hasn't been washed.

I especially like the gradients...
