CHRISTMAS SCARF

This is my last scarf of 2015.
I wanted to try this technique for a while
and I felt this was the right time and customer to make it for.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas

BIRTHDAY SCARF

This was a very special request.
A man is turning 80 and his family wanted to give him a handwoven scarf.
They came over for a visit (with the man of 79).
He told me he didn't like dark colours
and  he also preferred more calm motifs,
instead of me changing colour and design all the time.
He tried on this scarf:

and the colours were just perfect.
I tried to translate it in wool and this is the result.
It's a very big man so it's a very big scarf.
This weekend it will be handed over,
I hope he likes it...

WEEK VAN DE SMAAK

I am participating the "Week van de Smaak / Tafel 24" with my recyclable placemats.
This is the third time I am weaving them and still with much pleasure,
I like the graphic suprises of the newspaper strips
and ofcourse the pleasure of weaving with beautiful linen.

THIS IS NOT A SCARF

It's linen, it's woven and I'm putting it in a frame.
Very curious about the result.
It's not a scarf, but what is it then? :-)
